I was in Alaska last summer, and we were diving with these Stellar Sea Lions. They swarmed us, pushing us around, nibbling on our strobes, squirming all over the place. While I was shooting this little guy, another one had his mouth wrapped around my elbow. Just don’t bite down, dude, this is a dry suit…. 8-)

This is probably my second favorite shot of 2013, but I picked it over my #1 shot for the simple fact that I took it with my phone and not with my DSLR gear.

Hands down my favorite photo of 2013, I took this photo of my wife just over three weeks after her 4th inter-cranial surgery. Jennifer was diagnosed with Superior Semi-Circular Dehiscence in April 2011, we were very glad to hear that it is “fixable” with surgery. Well, four surgeries later, it is fall of of 2013 and I am seeing my wife smile and enjoying her life again. I’ve taken better photos, but none that are more meaningful to me.

So many favorites this year, but shooting a bride and groom in the belly of a cargo plane was pretty cool and probably my favorite of the year if I had to pick just one. All my brides and grooms are special to me though so that always influences my decision. The rest were written up about in this blog post: http://www.fenglongphoto.com/blog/2014/01/2013-wedding-photography-year-review/

Not sure that this is my best, but it’s one I’m very proud of. This was the first time I set up a timelapse over the course of a night. It was also the first time I was in a location where I could see and photograph the Milky Way. This is hanging in my 3 year old son’s room. He wants to go to space and hopefully this photograph will help keep that dream alive.

Shot in Hartsel, Colorado. No photoshop, only some color correction to give it that ‘I took a cool shot of outer space’ look. Thanks for allowing me to share this memorable moment.

Trying one last time to see if my image will post. I waited a long time to get this shot of an Anhinga with a fish stuck on its beak.

I had many shots in 2013 before suffering a major injury that shut down my shooting for the last part of the year.

I wouldn’t say this is an amazing shot… But, darn it, it’s
Winnie the Pooh selling candy in Arequipa’s city center. It doesn’t get
better than that in the what-the-hey department. (ps: Disqus is broken)

There is not just one image from this day, it was hard to narrow it down to 4. But the reason they are my favorite is because I was able to show Think Tank Photo’s Simon. how their products are used I got to hear high praises from people who use them and, I got to show Think Tank photo our world.
