Ed Kashi – Northern Nigeria Conflict

| March 25, 2014

Being the person that gets to put this content online, I always sit here in my (relatively) safe house and think to myself, could I do what this photographer did? Would I be able to think clearly and capture the image in those two or three seconds she or he had? Most of the time I answer  myself in my head and go back to sipping on my coffee. It mostly leaves me in awe of these photographers and with a feeling of pity and “what can I do” for the people they’re photographing. — I don’t know if you’re even interested in my personal experience with our about a photograph series, but there you go. ~ Sime

This week we have Ed Kashi, as you’ve probably already gathered from the title! This is Ed’s work in Northern Nigeria, a very dangerous place to be a photographer working a story on a very dangerous group of people, Boko Haram.
