Melissa Farlow – About A Photograph

| July 1, 2014

Kurt and Deanne sent across our next “About A Photograph” and I have to admit, I don’t know much about the subject Wild Horses in the American West and off I went on a veritable Google rampage of open page tabs and search queries to rival the best research assistant! (Once you’ve finished watching the short film from Melissa Farlow, feel free to have a look yourself, interesting stuff Start Here)

This short film is of Melissa Farlow describing a photograph of hers that was published by National Geographic Magazine about Mustangs. Melissa’s approach is an interesting one – essentially unplanned, but well informed and inspired to shoot what takes her to the photograph. Some people can do it, some need to plan everything down to the finest detail. With talk of long lenses and camera traps being destroyed, we hope you enjoy this About A Photograph from Melissa.
